 The English Drama School Barcelona Acting school Barcelona. Acting classes and workshops The English Drama School is the top English speaking acting school andworkshop in Barcelona. The school offers group based and private acting lessons, workshops and coaching in English. The EDS welcomes diversity and if you join this informal school, you will find yourself in the company of aspiring actors from many different walks of life,age groups and countries. At the time of writing this article, the English Drama School had students from Australia, Finland, India, Italy, Ukraine, Trinidad, Germany and naturally from Spain. The only prerequisite for students to join the EDS is that they speak a fluent level of English. The English Drama School classes and plays can be found at their own medieval theatre in the heart of Barcelona, which is the largest independent theatre in Barcelona with a professional stage and a capacity of 300 spectators. All acting classes take place in the evenings on weekdays and weekends. Drama classes are group based and there are classes that suit all levels from complete beginner to advanced. Script work, improvisation workshops and classes in voice and movement are also taught. Special emphasis given to exercises in confidence building and public speaking. The classes and workshops are always great fun, and it's a perfect way to make new friends in a creative environment while learning or improving the craft of acting.Unlike traditional drama schools, The English Drama School believes passionately in learning by doing. All of the English Drama Schoolstudents gain a thorough understanding of what it is really like to be a professional actor by working on a professional production. Each season their students perform one or more plays and the school guarantees a place in the cast for all students, who show dedication and enthusiasm after joining the acting school.
