Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya de Moto GP 2013. Results. Jorge Lorenzo won 2012 MotoGP in Catalunya. Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso took second and third place. The Barcelona race of the thrilling Motorcycling World Championship in categories MotoGP, GP2 and GP3 comes to Barcelona when Montmeló racetrack hosts the 2013 Catalonia MotoGP World Championship in June 2013. This is one of the most popular races on the international MotoGP circuit and takes takes place at the Circuit de Catalunya race track near Barcelona. Over 100.000 race fans and visitors come to see the action of one of the fastest sports in the world, the MotoGP, with bikes reaching speeds of over 300 kph. Don't miss the chance to experience the world’s top motorcycling Championship live in the 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP classes in Barcelona. The circuit has seventeen grandstands, three of which are covered. 20 giant screens are located around the track, so you won't miss any action.

How to get to Montmelo race track Barcelona
The Circuit de Catalunya at Montmelo is the racetrack for international motor racing competitions in Barcelona. The biggest events are the annual F1 Formula One Spanish Grand Prix in May and Catalunya MotoGP in June  The sporting calendar of the Circuit de Catalunya also includes several competitions of the Catalan and Spanish Motorcycling and Car Championships, 24 Hours Endurance races, and more. The Circuit de Catalunya can also be contacted for activities in connection with incentive events, presentations and conventions. Activities include quads racing, go-karts, 4X4 circuit and helicopter flights and more. Montmelo is in the Valles Oriental comarca (county of Barcelona. Nearby attractions include Roca Outlet Village. For more attractions in this area visit the Valles Oriental Tourist Office . The Montmelo race track was built in 1991 and has hosted the Barcelona F1 Spanish Grand Prix ever since. Prior to the opening of Montmelo Barcelona hosted F1 races on street circuits in Pedralbes from 1951 and in the fifties and sixties, and then in the seventies on Montjuic hill from 4th May 1969 to 27th April 1975.

By Car to Montmelo racetrack
Driving time is 30 minutes from center of Barcelona to Montmelo racetrack, but on F1 race days it can take up to 2 hours or more, so leave early.  Parking tickets can be purchased online on Ticketmaster.es or at the the racetrack. The parking opens at around 6.30 in the morning but is closed at night.

By Bus to Montmelo racetrack
For F1 and MotoGP races there is a GP shuttle coach service by Sagalés cus company from Passeig de Sant Joan 52. Journey time 45 minutes. The nearest metro stations to the GP shuttle bus departure point are metro station Girona on Yellow line L4 and metro station Tetuan on Purple line L2.  Tickets for shuttle bus service can be purchased online on the Sagales bus website or at Sagales bus ticket office Passeig de Sant Joan 52, The price of return trip in 2012 is € 9 and the bus journey takes about 45 minutes, but leave in good time because the bus times can be be delayed by heavy traffic going to the both F1 and MotoGP races.

By Train to Montmelo racetrack
Train to Montmelo. Montmelo train station is on the R2 (line 2) of Spanish Renfe cercanías / rodalies  trains from Barcelona to end destination Maçanet Massanes. Train journey time 30 minutes then 25 minutes walking. Take the R2 train from Plaza Catalunya, or Arc de Triomf or Clot stations.  All stations are connected to Metro trains. The trains to Montmelo racetrack leave every 30 minutes. When you arrive at Montmelo station it is a 25 minute walk from the station to the Montmelo race track. Just follow the crowds for big events like F1 and MotoGP. For train information and reservations call Renfe on 902240202

Campsites near the Montmelo race track.
There is usually a temporary campsite in the raectrack North Area available during the Spanish Grand Prix week. For information about other permanent campsites near the Montmelo race track, contact the Camping Association of the province of Barcelona called "Associacio de Campings i CV de la provïncia de Barcelona."


Disabled access
