Pride Barcelona’13. Barcelona Gay Pride Festival 2013. Pride Barcelona is a cultural festival and a non-profit making event organised by LGBT socio-cultural and business institutions in Catalonia. The objective of Pride Barcelona is to promote respect for diversity, especially towards the gay community, by means of culture, entertainment and visibility. Good cause and great festival now in the fifth year. Visit the website for full programme of parties, movies, conferences, exhibitions and more. Highlights include  "Miss Drag Pride and Foam Party" on Av Reina Maria Cristina (Friday 28/6 at 11pm) and the lavish Pride Parade Barcelona on from bottom of Av Parallel on Saturday 29/6 at 6pm to finish at Magic Fountain. Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina in Barcleona (also called Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina) is a avenue in Barcelona that stretches from Plaça Espanya to the Magic Fountain. This street is often used as the base for major events and concerts. This Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina is flanked by the Barcelona exhibition centre Fira Montjuic and the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona. At the entrance to Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina are two venetian towers. At the far end you can see the veyr popular Magic Fountain on Plaça de Carles Buïgas. ABove the fountains you can see the Palau Nacional - national palace - which is now home to the MNAC - National Art Museum of Catalonia
