International Stand Up Comedy in Barcelona. It's been a while since we've had a female act at the Guinness Laughter Lounge, Barcelona, so no better comedian than Meryl O Rourke to burst that bubble of February depression.. Acclaimed stand-up comic and accomplished TV writer Meryl O'Rourke has been commissioned to write a pilot sitcom by the head of Radio 4 comedy. This is being script edited by her long term collaborator Frankie Boyle. She supported Frankie for part of his last tour, at his request. She also supported him at the Hammersmith Apollo. In his book Work!Consume!Die! he calls Meryl "Inspiringly funny". Her Edinburgh show 'Bad mother' received 5***** reviews by the TIMES critic review.
