The tower is the Jaume I station of the Barcelona port cable car  El Monumento a Cristóbal Colón - Christopher Columbus monument at Plaza Portal de la Pau. The floating work of art is called "Miraestels" It is a aquatic work of art by Catalan artist Robert Llimós which was first exhibited in 2006. It depicts a human figure gazing at the stars holding a star behind its back. The schooner in the top left is the Barcelona maritime museum boat called Santa Eulalia  The newest part of La Rambla walking street is called "La Rambla del Mar" which is the bridge over to the Maremagnum shopping centre in Port Vell. Maremagnum is the only shopping centre in Barcelona that is open on Sundays. Nearby attractions include the Barcelona Aquarium and IMAX 3D cinema  "La Rambla del Mar" seen from the air  From map reading to nap reading in the Barcelona winter sun!  The Artists Market near Maremagnum shopping mall  Vintage roundabout for children outside the Barcelona Aquarium  Replica of "Ictineo II" which was the worlds first working submarine. It was built in 1864 in Barcelona by the Catalan inventor "Narcus Monturiol i Estarriol" It made it's maiden voyage on 20th May 1865. It has currently been removed for renovation.
