Caelum
Caelum (which means heaven in latin) is a lovely little tea shop/cafe located in the old Jewish quarter of Barcelona on a quiet little street off the cathedral square. What's makes it special is that the products are made by nuns from all over Spain. Enjoy a delicious selection of homemade jams and preserved fruit, cakes and biscuits, marzipan and liquors in Barcelona. The ornate and old world wrapping also makes this a great place to buy gifts. If you want to "try before you buy" then head down the stairs to reach the cellar café. This used to be a "mikve," which was the site of old jewish thermal bathes. Nowadays it houses a cosy place for morning coffee or afternoon tea. A little gem of a place that must be tried.

Partly cloudy

19°C
