How many tourists visited Barcelona in 2022


Barcelona received 4.8 million overnight visitors in 2021. 

Catalonia welcomed 7.9m visitors during first six months of 2023 which was 30% more tourists than 2021. The Spanish National Statistics Institute reported in August that one out of five travelers to Spain in first six months of 2023 chose Catalonia as their main destination. During the first six months of 2023, Spain welcomed 37.4 million visitors, an increase of 23.7% on 2022.
