CNB Club Natació Barcelona is a private sports and swimming club with a superb location on the beach at the end of Barceloneta on the beach of Sant Sebastia. Map Barcelona beaches. CNBwas founded on 10th November 1907 by the swimmer Bernat Picornell, who is attributed with popularizing contemporary competition swimming in Catalonia. The Club Natacio Barcelona has an outdoor pool of 25 x 50 m and an indoor pool of 25 x 14 metres. The CNB is situated next to another swimming club on the beach called the CNA, which is a municipal swimming club and open to the public. The CNB organises the annual Christmas swim Copa Nadal de Natació on Christmas Day 25th December every year. The Olympic swimming complex on Montjuic hill built for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic games is named Piscines Bernat Picornell.
