El Xampanyet - cava bar

El Xampanyet cava bar and tapas bar Barcelona. El Xampanyet is a rustic and authentic tapas and cava bar Barcelona owned by the same family since the 1930's. Everything a great tapas bar should be. Small, but very popular and well known with delicious tapas.

The location is near Picasso Museum in the Ribera part of Barcelona's gothic area. Because El Xampanyeta has a reputation for good family made tapas and cheap but good cava and wines it is generally pretty crowded and noisy, but definately a colourful place to visit. Very little seating and reservations not possible.

El Xampanyet opening times:
12:00 to 16:00 and 18.30 to 23.30
Closed in August.
