Els llums de Nadal 2024. The 110km of Barcelona Christmas lights are called "Els llums de Nadal" in the Catalan language.  The Christmas lights usually turn on at 6pm on the Thursday before Black Friday Barcelona which is on Friday, Nov 29, 2024. The ceremony to officially turn on the Barcelona Christmas lights is in a different neighbourhood each Christmas. It's usually a low-key ceremony at 5.30pm and the Christmas lights are turned on at 6.30pm.

Christmas lights are on from Sunday to Thursday: from 17.30 to 1 in the morning. On Fridays and Saturdays : from 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Eves of holidays: 25, 31 December and 5 January :from 5.30 pm to 2 am. For New Year's Eve and 3 Kings eve, Barcelona's Christmas lights stay on until 2am in the morning
