Where are the best views of Barcelona? There are many places to take wonderful pictures in Barcelona.

Barcelona is a very popular city with Instagrammers and photographers.

The best places to take pictures with fantastic views of the city of Barcelona are on Barcelona's two hills, Montjuic to the south and Tibidabo to the west which both overlook the city. The views are spectacular and you can see the whole city from these two hills.

From both Montjuic and Tibidabo hills you can see lovely panoramic city views.

It's quite a long way to the summits of Montjuic or Tibidabo, but you can get to both of them cheaply and easily by public transport or on the hop-on-hop-off tourist buses in Barcelona.

Views from hotels
Visit tall hotels in Barcelona to take photos of Barcelona's views. The Hotel Arts and Hotel W are the tallest hotels in the city by the coast, but they do not have public viewing platforms so you will need to book a room.

The hotel Gran Hotel La Florida on Tibidabo hill has a lovely restaurant with outdoor terrace with spectacular Barcelona city views. And good food. 

Towers with viewing platforms

In the city the tower Torre Glòries has a new public viewing deck. The new observation deck has fabulous 360° panoramic views of Barcelona. Overlooking the hill on the Collserola hill ranges, you can see Collserola tower which has a public viewing deck also with 360° views of the city and beyond. There's is a new viewing point called Mirador Torre Urquinaona which offer s panoramic 360° views views of Barcelona from the city center.

Views from church roofs

There are roof tours at Barcelona Cathedral, the gothic Santa Maria del Mar church - or you can visit the interior of La Sagrada familia church and climb the towers and take pictures from the tiny balconies (can be hot and crowded in the summer)

Views from Montjuic hill

There are great views from the port cable car from Montjuic hill to the beach near Barceloneta - and from the Montjuic gondola cable car on Montjuic hill. One of the port cable car towers has a great restaurant at the top called Torre D'Alta Mar. Also for coastal views visit Montjuic castle.
