Barcelona Opportunity Week 2020 is a tourism promotion to attract visitors on the dates of the cancelled Mobile World Congress (MWC) which was scheduled take place from 24th to 27th February 2020 but was cancelled due to coronosvirus fears. 

Over 150 establishments and operators will take part in Barcelona Opportunity Week 2020. 

Some Barcelona shops and establishments will offer 20% discounts on a selection of items. 

RENFE, the Spanish railway operator, will offer 35% discounts on national journeys which have Barcelona as their destination. 

Airline Vueling also joins Barcelona Opportunity Week 2020 with special offers. 

Some city hotels are offering discounts on bookings made directly on their websites and disscounts of 20% will be applied on some tourist apartments. 

Some restaurants are offering special fixed-price menus and some museums offer admission of two people for the price of one.

The MWC event was cancelled due to coronavirus fears although there have not been reported or confirmed Covid19 cases in Barcelona.

Barcelona Opportunity Week (BCNnow!) was originally launched as a one time event in 2012 to offer visitors to Barcelona discounts on restaurants, hotels, markets, florists and theatres in the low tourist season in January and February.
