Peralada is a village with 1,500 inhabitants located between Figueres and the Costa Brava in the Alt Empordà region of Catalunya about 140 kilometres from Barcelona. Castell de Peralada is the venue of an annual summer music festival called "Festival Internacional de Música Castell de Peralada" which attracts many top international artists to Catalunya. The Peralada Festival is in July and August every year in the grounds of the Peralada Castle and is considered one of the most important cultural music festivals in Spain.

The Peralada Festival always presents a spectacular and high quality programme of concerts by top vocalists, bands, choirs in many genres including pop, jazz, opera, classical and more. The Perelada castle is near Figueres about 1,5 hour north of Barcelona by car.
