2013 International Paralympic Committee Alpine Skiing World Championships at La Molina ski resort near Barcelona.  La Molina hosts the last big IPC skiing competition before the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games. La Molina welcomes 150 of the world's best skiers from 40 countries to a week of top skiing in Barcelona from 20th to 27th February 2013. This is the first time La Molina hosts this event and the station is well prepared with good snow this season, so it should be a great event for all participants. Good luck to all! La Molina ski station is in the Pre-Pyrenees mountain range. It is next to La Masella ski area. There is a combined ski pass called "Alp2500" which gives access to both ski areas.

La Molina has a big snowpark accessible via the Trampolí [Ski-jump] chairlift equipped with modules, railings and ramps. It is ideal for freestyle, jumping and acrobatics and has one of the longest slope styles in the Pyrenees, with up to 7 consecutive modules with different levels of difficulty. It also features an impressive Half-Pipe, 90 metres long and 3.70 metres high in the Torrent Negre area. La Molina hosts international World cup skiing and snowboarding races and events.

Sagales bus company offers a one day package trips to La Molina in the ski season for €44 (2020 prices) which includes transport, ski insurance, ski pass, equipment hire and picnic (sandwich + drink + fruit or coffee)

By train from Barcelona to La Molina

Skitren La Molina € 42 Includes train, bus from station to La Molina and 1 day ski pass. Travel time: Approx 3 hours by train from center of Barcelona. Train line is L'Hospitalet-Puigcerdé. There is a special “Tren Blanc” - white train,  which runs at weekends and public holidays between Barcelona and La Molina. In Barcelona you can catch it at the station at Plaça de Catalunya
