La Festa Catalana - the Catalan Festival - is a weekly exhibition with three performances of Catalan festival traditions including 'sardanes' folk dancing, 'castells' human tower building, 'gegants' giants, lace-making and more. The weekly Festa Catalan is specially for visitors to Barcelona who might miss these cultural traditions, which usually only can be seen at local festivals. La Festa Catalana in Barcelona takes place on the Avinguda de la Catedral in front of Barcelona cathedral at 11.30 on Saturday mornings from May to end September.
