Extreme Sailing Series™ Act 3, Barcelona.  The Extreme Sailing Series is an international inshore racing circuit bringing together the best skippers on the planet competing against each other in state of the art 40-foot catamarans. Barcelona hosts the third Act of the eight-stop global tour of the annual sailing circuit, the 2018 Extreme Sailing Series™, as it returns to Barcelona for the second consecutive season since its debut in 2017.

Highlights

On the water
Some of the world’s top sailors will board their super-fast, hydro-foiling GC32 catamarans for the third epic on-the-water battle of 2018. Flying around the racetrack in front of the W Hotel, these guys will fight tooth and nail for the podium top spot, metres from the shore. A true festival of foiling, the action on the water is completed by the double-handed pocket rockets that are the Flying Phantoms. Zooming along the shores of Barcelona at speeds of up to 35knots, thrills and spills are guaranteed.

On the shore
A free-to-enter public race village will be in operation, offering activities for all ages, live commentary also in English and a DJ playing music all day. Located next to the W Hotel near the Barceloneta district, it’s the perfect spot to watch the racing unfold.
