January sales in Barcelona. |
January sales in BarcelonaWhen do they start and endThe winter sales or January sales in Barcelona start on 7th January and continue until February. Sales are called 'Rebajas de enero' in the Spanish language. Traditionally, sales start on January 7, the day after Three Kings' Day on 6th January, but some brands including Cortefiel, H&M and Bimba y Lola might start to reduce their prices from December 28. The brands of the Inditex group, such as Zara, Lefties, Massimo Dutti and Oysho, usually begin online sales on January 6th and on the 7th in their stores. The big Spanish department store, El Corte Inglés, usually sticks to the Christmas tradition of starting discounts from January 7, although in the days before Epiphany on 6th January, it sometimes has discount campaign of up to 40% to celebrate the start of the new year. Barcelona shops are normally closed on Sundays and on public holidays (except for some special shopping days during the year when shops can choose if they want to open.) Barcelona shopping centers that are open on Sundays all year are the Maremagnum mall in Barcelona's Port Vell marina and the luxury outlet La Roca Village outside Barcelona.
