Tibidabo amusement park 


Best places to visit kids Barcelona

Parc d'Atraccions Tibidabo. Closed in winter except holiday seasons. Tibidabo is a fairytale vintage theme park located Tibidabo hill at the 'back' of Barcelona in an exciting location just below the summit of Tibidabo hill, just below the Sagrat Cor temple. Kids of all ages love this vintage funfair and amusement park. It's also fun for the kids to visit Sagrat Cor church. There is a lift inside which goes almost to the top. The last bit is on winding steps which take you to the highest point of Barcelona just below the sculpture of Jesus Christ which crowns the basilica. You can also make the trip to Tibidabo hill fun for kids by taking Barcelona metro and a funicular mountain train to get up the hill to Tibidabo park.

Children who play or watch football will love seeing the famous FC Barcelona stadium called Camp Nou (which means new ground) and the Museu del Barça museum. The art gallery includes works by world famous artists including Dalí, Miró and Tápies.

Magic fountain Montjuic 


Magic Fountain Montjuic

Magic fountain Montjuic. (Temporarily closed due to drought conditions) Only Thursday to Sunday in summer and Friday Saturday in winter. The fountain and the music, light and water show is a top Barcelona attraction and wonderful for families and children.  The fountain is free to visit. There is no seating and there are no entrance points. Visitors can go to the fountain anytime during the Magic Fountain show times and when you are there you can walk all around the fountain area and enjoy the fountain music, light and water show.

Barcelona Aquarium has 11,000 marine animals and 450 different species including sharks and penquins. The Aquarium has an 80m long underwater tunnel through a six million litre tank of water and an immense Oceanarium with sharks and other big fish which you can pass through in a glass tunnel. Lots of fun and activities for children of all ages.

Port Aventura World & Ferrariland

Port Aventura World is a huge amusement theme park and water park located 1 hour south of Barcelona by train, car or bus near Tarragona and Reus. It has Europe's biggest rollercoaster and now also features Europes first Ferrariland by PortAventura World. To get there take train or bus. When you have paid the entrance fee then all rides are free. We recommend a full day to enjoy Port Aventura.
