Barcelona hygiene handwash - washing hands

Hand hygiene Barcelona, Spain

Washing hands and keeping your hands clean while visiting Barcelona and Spain. Is there anything more depressing that being sick while on vacation? Not really. So to avoid this we recommend that you wash hands thoroughly and as often as possible during your visit to Barcelona. We also recommend that you carry alcohol-based handrub lotions at all times.

This is because sadly many restrooms in the city also in restaurants and cafes do not always supply soap or warm water and sadly it also appears that many local residents and many visitors to the city prefer not wash their hands at all after bathroom visits.

So we recommend that you are careful to keep your hands clean. Washing your hands is one of the best ways to avoid getting sick, spreading infections and spread of germs. If you cannot wash your hands then use handrub lotion which can be bought in supermarkets and drugstores/farmacias.

Please, follow carefully the steps shown in these WHO (World Health Organisation) YouTube videos to learn how to wash your hands properly with soap and water - and how to use hand-rub lotion most effectively.
