El día de Sant Joan is on 24/6 on the day after La revetlla de Sant Joan celebrations which is alsc called the Nit de Sant Joan in Catalan and la Noche de San Juan in Spanish - meaning Saint John's night.

The festival of Saint John or night of St John is the Spanish midsummer solstice celebration on the evening of 23rd June every year.  

Are shops open? 

Almost all shops in Barcelona are closed on public holidays except Maremagnum shopping mall in Barcelona Port Vell marina - and La Roca Outlet Village outside Barcelona.

For food stores the small SuperCor shops are always open and have many shops in central Barcelona locations.

In the centre of Barcelona restaurants and tourist shops stay open on public and tours and museums are operating normally.
