Equus 2012 / Saló del Cavall i del Poni. In 2012 it was decided that this would be a bi-annual event in future so the next Saló Equus will be at end September 2013. The Equus Catalonia International Horse Fair in Girona near Barcelona is a top event in the equestrian world and in Spain usually attracting around 40.000 visitors and around 750 horses from breeding farms and equestrian clubs across Spain and many other countries such as France, Italy, Switzerland and Great Britain.

There are usually around 300 exhibitors of equestrian products and many daily activities during Equus Catalonia including the Morphology Competition of P.R.E. horses (Pure Spanish Thoroughbred) for the Spanish Championship final and other daily displays.
