Barcelona Wax Museum MCB. Museo de Cera de Barcelona. The Barcelona wax museum is located just off Las Ramblas near the harbour at the end of a passage to a 19th century building that formerly housed offices of the "Banco de Barcelona" and the company "Crédito y Docks de Barcelona". The Barcelona wax musuem opened in 1973 and was recently renovated with new technologies, 150 new waxwork figures and sets in 28 areas. Most popular waxworks are Taylor Swift, Messi, Jon Snow, The Iron Throne from Game of Thrones, Jack Sparrow, Adele, the jungle themed entry to Indiana Jones and King Kong and many Catalan historic figures. The wax models are exhibited in different settings with projections and audio-visual effects. There is a fun little bar by the musuem called
El Bosc de les Fades, which features a fairytale forest interior.
