Swimming pool Bernat Picornell. Bernat Picornell Barcelona Olympic Pools. The Bernat Picornell swimming pools are on Montjuïc hill in Barcelona. This is the flagship of Barcelona's public swimming pools.
The Bernat Picornell gym and swimming centre was opened in 1970 for the European swimming championships and was later remodelled and modernised for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.
Bernat Picornell has three pools. An heated indoor pool, a outdoor competition pool and a diving pool. The outdoor pools have spectator stands and are still used for international competitions.

The Bernat Picornell pool has many other sports facilities like a fitness centre, jacuzzis, saunas, good disabled access and special times for nudist swimming daily except in summer months. It is names in memory of the Catalan swimmer Bernat Picornell i Richier.

55 By MetroMetro Lines 1 & 3 to Plaza Espanya, then it is a 7 minute walk up Avenida María Cristina. Then take the outdoor escalators up to Avenida Miramar on Montjuic.
