Hoja Santa Barcelona. Permanently CLOSED. Mexican restaurant Barcelona. 1 Michelin star 2020. The El Barri restaurant group,  owned by the Iglesias brothers and Albert Adrià, and ther restuarants Tickets, Pakta, Enigma, Hoja Santa and Bodega 1900, are permanently closed.

Chefs Albert Adrià and Paco Méndez. Barcelona's upmarket taqueria Mexicana restaurant which shares same locale as the larger Mexican restaurant Niño Viejo.

Albert Adrià and Paco Méndez have collaborated in the creation of a restaurant in Barcelona to share their passion for the flavours and traditions of Mexico.

The name Hoja Santa came from a journey made by the chefs Albert and Paco to Oaxaca in Mexico. Here they were inspired by the Oaxaca leaf which also goes by the names acuyo, momo, hierba santa or tlanepa often used in cooking in the region.

Santa Hoja serves around 65 guests and is a bit more upmarket Mexican cuisine than Niño Viejo in same location.

Both restaurants serve modern and creative Mexican cuisine inspired by Albert Adrià's passion for all things Mexican.
Enjoy tequila, mezcal and Mexican beers to complement your meal.

The famous Adrià brothers now have several world class restaurants in the streets around Paralelo streets in Barcelona's Eixample area near Plaza Espanya. Reservations on +34 933482194 or online here. Wheelchair accessible. Vegetarian Friendly
