Jordi Cruz Mas was born in June 29th 1978 in Manresa, Barcelona and completed his studies in the Escuela Superior de Hostelería de Manresa.

At just age 14 he began his career in the restaurant Estany Clar de Cercs outside Barcelona, where he was awarded his first Michelin Star in 2004 when he was 26 years old making him the youngest chef in Spain and the second youngest in the world to receive a Michelin star at the time.
Jordi Cruz is also head chef at L' Àbac in the Hotel Àbac where he has three Michelin stars and he is chef of restaurant Ten's tapas in the Hotel Park in the Born area.
