Where does MSC World Europa dock in Barcelona

Where does MSC World Europa cruise ship dock and depart from in Barcelona? In February 2024 MSC World Europa docks at Terminal A, B, C, D or E at Moll Adossat. Generally MSC cruises all depart from Terminals A, B, C, D or E at the Port of Barcelona dock called the 'Moll Adossat'. 

Moll Adossat is the Catalan language name - the word moll means pier in Catalan - it's called 'Muelle de Adosado' in the Spanish Castellano/Castilian language.

Can you walk ashore from Moll Adossat?


The Moll D'Adossat dock is 5 km / 3 miles from the downtown city center of Barcelona and 2 km / 1 mile from the edge of Barcelona's gothic area. From Moll Adossat, it's a 30 minute walk to the edge of the old part of Barcelona's center (called Cuitat Vella) where you can find the metro station Drassanes and bus stops for both the Barcelona hop-on-hop-off tour bus operators. 30 minutes is quite a long walk with bags, so many cruise passengers disembarking on Moll Adossat choose to take a cab from the cruise ship to hotels or destinations in the city - or they take the port shuttle bus from Moll Adossat which is called the Cruisebus

From Moll Adossat pier to Barcelona Airport


Barcelona Airport is 15 km (9-mile) drive away from the port and Moll Adossat. There is no direct bus or train connection between Barcelona Airport and the Barcelona cruise port. The easiest way to the MSC cruise docks on Moll Adossat from airport is by taxi or transfer. There is a fixed taxi price for taxi rides between Barcelona airport and the MSC cruise ship dock..

Alternatively from Barcelona airport you can take the airport shuttle called Aerobus to Plaça Espanya and from there continue to the cruise port by taxi. There are many taxi at Pl. Espanya but it's hardly worth the bother. A taxi or transfer is the best option, in our opinion.


From Moll Adossat to Sants train station


Barcelona Sants railway station is about 6 km away from the the Moll Adossat dock. There is both a taxi and a bus service to the port from outside the station.

MSC World Europa information




MSC World Europa is a World-class cruise ship delivered for MSC Cruises and built at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. MSC World Europa begun public operations from 20 December 2022 in a 9-day roundtrip from Qatar after serving as a hotel ship in Doha during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

MSC Parking is bookable online up to 48 hours before your cruise departure. Bookings after the 48 hour deadline can be made directly with MSC Parking, and the same reduced rates will be applied when presenting your cruise travel documents. MSC Parking is at the WTC World Trade center - SHUTTLE Parking on Moll de Barcelona s/n, East building, 1st Floor, 08039, Barcelona (next to the Balearia Terminal building)

News

In a press release from 31 May 2021, MSC Cruises announced that they have obtained final approval from the Port of Barcelona to build and operate an exclusive MSC cruise terminal. This multi-year concession will see the construction of an innovative terminal of 11,670 square metres that MSC Cruises will operate and manage for a 31-year period. The MSC  terminal project is estimated to represent a EUR 33 million investment by MSC Cruises. With construction work set to start shortly, the new terminal is expected to enter service in 2024.
