Christmas Shopping Sundays Barcelona.

Many city center shops and shopping malls in Barcelona will be open on the public holidays of 6th December and 8th December and many big stores will be open on all Sundays in December as part of the Barcelona Christmas shopping season. 

The public holiday and Sunday shopping dates for Barcelona are 6th, 8th, 16th, 23rd and 30th December 2018. Some shops will be open all day on 24th December and some only until midday.

Shops are generally all closed on public holidays however, which means shops are closed in Barcelona on Christmas Day 25th December and Boxing day 26th December - and on 1st and 6th January.

You will find that most shops and Barcelona shopping malls are alwaysclosed on Sundays and on Public Holidays. The exception to this is eight days throughout the calendar year when Barcelona shops can choose to open, if they want.

The eight dates that all shops can stay open in Barcelona are often on the first days of sales periods - and at Christmas.

The only shopping center that is always open in Barcelona on Sundays is Maremagnum mall located in Barcelona marina harbour and outside the city you can find La Roca outlet village which is open on Sundays all year.


Barcelona is one of the top European cities for Christmas shopping and to kick off the Christmas shopping Barcelona also has Black Friday offers and Barcelona's most fashionable shopping streets Passeig de Gracia organises the annual Barcelona Shopping Night on the night before Black Friday with evening shopping activities and opening times until 1am.
