Christmas Shopping Sundays Barcelona.

Shops are usually all closed on public holidays and Sundays but in December many city center shops and shopping malls in Barcelona can open on the public holidays of 6th December and 8th December and many big stores can open on all Sundays in December as part of the Barcelona Christmas shopping season. Please note that shops decide themselves if they will open on Public holidays and Sundays.

2024 dates on public holidays and Sundays when big stores open in Barcelona are December 8th, 15th, 22th and 29th.

2024 dates when most shops will be closed are December 25th, 26th and January 1st and 6th.

You will find that most shops and Barcelona shopping malls are always closed on Sundays and on Public Holidays. The exception to this is eight days throughout the calendar year when Barcelona shops can choose to open, if they want. The eight dates that all shops can stay open in Barcelona are often on the first days of sales periods - and at Christmas.

The only shopping center that is always open in Barcelona on Sundays is Maremagnum mall located in Barcelona marina harbour and outside the city you can find La Roca outlet village which is open on Sundays all year. Barcelona is one of the top European cities for Christmas shopping and to kick off the Christmas shopping Barcelona also has Black Friday offers and Barcelona's most fashionable shopping streets Passeig de Gracia organises the annual Barcelona Shopping Night on the night before Black Friday with evening shopping activities and opening times until 1am.
