Where does National Geographic Explorer cruise ship dock in Barcelona? Map and directions


The National Geographic Explorer cruise ship docks at Barcelona's biggest dock called Moll Adossat which has five Terminals A, B, C, D and E - see map below.  All P&O ships dock on the Moll D'Adossat pier in Barcelona. Moll Adossat is the Catalan language name - the word moll means pier in Catalan. This pier is called 'Muelle de Adosado' in the Spanish (Castellano) language.

Can you walk ashore?


The Moll D'Adossat dock is 5 km / 3 miles from the downtown city center of Barcelona and 2 km / 1 mile from the edge of Barcelona's gothic area. From Moll Adossat, it's about a 30 minute walk to the edge of the old part of Barcelona's center (called Cuitat Vella) Here you can find the metro station Drassanes and bus stops for both the Barcelona hop-on-hop-off tour bus operators30 minutes is quite a long walk with bags, so many cruise passengers disembarking on wharf Moll Adossat choose to take a taxi from the cruise ship to hotels or destinations in the city - or they take the port shuttle bus from Moll Adossat to the Columbus monument, which is called the Cruisebus

From Moll Adossat to Airport


Barcelona Airport is 15 km (9-mile) drive away from the port and Moll Adossat. There is no direct bus or train connection between Barcelona Airport and the Barcelona cruise port. From the airport you can take the airport shuttle called Aerobus to Plaça d'Espanya and then continue to the cruise port by taxi. There are many taxi at Pl. Espanya. However the easiest way to the Moll Adossat cruise terminal from airport is probably by taxi. There is a fixed taxi price for rides between Barcelona airport and the MSC cruise ship dock. Barcelona airport to city center


From Moll Adossat to Sants train station


Barcelona Sants railway station is about 6 km away from the the Moll Adossat dock. There is both a taxi and a bus service to the port from outside the station.
