On 10th July 1925
On 10th July 1925 the founder of FC Barcelona, Joan Gamper, was forced to step down from his position as President of the FC Barcelona football club after pressure from the Primo de Rivera dictatorship. The club was shut down for six months following an incident when supporters booed the Spanish National Anthem during a match against Júpiter, held as a tribute to the Orfeó Català choral society. This ended Joan Gamper's time as president of FC Barcelona.
